Public Speaking and Presentation Skills
Improve your presentation skills and become an effective presenter through this interactive workshop. Marco Westerhof, presentation and training consultant, will lead this educational workshop.
Enrichment
As the field of enrichment has evolved, facilities have begun to look for better more naturally based programs of enrichment. This interactive workshop is designed to get participants thinking about enrichment as a multi-dimensional process. It furnishes individuals with the tools needed to create stimulating, engaging enrichment from idea to assessment. Sensory activities encourage participants to remember that enrichment needs to target all of an animal’s sensory needs not just dietary needs. Opportunities for problem solving and brainstorming allow staff to share ideas with colleagues they may not work with on a regular basis. So collect your enrichment challenges and bring them to the workshop. With all those great IAATE brains working together we can help solve any challenges! Join Robin Shewokis, enrichment specialist, for this interactive workshop.
Behavior and Training
Develop a better understanding of behavioral science and training skill through this informative and entertaining workshop. Behavior and training professionals, Barbara Heidenreich, Phung Luu and Steve Martin will lead this workshop.
Equipment: Hood and Glove
Learn the art of hood and glove making in this hands-on workshop. Participants will have an opportunity to create a hood and/or glove. Master Dutch falconer and hood maker, Frank Lenders, will lead this workshop.
