hunt. Two groups will split up; hawks one part of the day,
falcons the other part of the day. Dress warm w/ hiking shoes.
City Tour - For those who don't want to get out so early there will be
a tour of Atlanta premier site-seeing locations. (Stay tuned for

VENDORS, RAFFLE AND SILENT AUCTIONS

There will also be the usual raffles, silent auction and annual
conference awards (see the IAATE website for
more information on awards and grants).
Help support IAATE! You will be able to purchase tickets
for raffle drawings held throughout the conference. We will also have
raffle drawings and a silent auction during the banquet.
If you or your institution were able to donate items to
the auction/raffles, it would be greatly appreciated. Just bring them
along to the conference. If possible, contact the conference committee
and let them know you are bringing something.
CONFERENCE AWARDS

Once again the IAATE Conservation Committee is proud to announce we are
accepting entries for the 8th annual conservation Award. The
conservation award is intended to recognize IAATE members’
efforts to
promote conservation. Entries can be creative, inspiring, humorous,
etc. Examples include participating in research projects, a behavior
routine in your show, a fundraiser, etc. The possibilities are endless.
The winner will receive a plaque to display at his or her facility. In
addition, a donation of $500 will be made in the winner’s name to
the
conservation organization of his or her choice. The donation can be
made to the winner’s own facility with the stipulation that the
funds
are utilized to support conservation efforts made by that facility.
In addition, IAATE will also be offering grants
again. Grants have been awarded to facilitate travel to
conservation projects, develop education programs, fund websites and
more. Conservation Award and Grant applications can be downloaded from
the IAATE website
or acquired by contacting Matt Edmonds at wondersofnature@tampabay.rr.com
The winners for both will be announced at the annual
conference. Attendance at the conference is not a requirement.
Videotapes, pictures, papers, etc. can be included with
entry/application.
