The DoubleTree features a wealth of amenities along with a great location. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Oregon Convention Center, the Rose Garden Arena and Memorial Coliseum. The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is also nearby. It is located on the MAX lightrail system, which is free to most downtown Portland locations. Free, covered, secure parking is available with your room for those who decide to drive to Portland. The hotel has 3 restaurants, a quiet bar and an exercise room. Additionally, you’ll find numerous shops, cafes, restaurants, and activities across the street from the hotel in the fabulous Lloyd Center Mall, featuring over 200 stores, 18 movie theaters and an ice skating rink.

For reservations, call 1-800-996-0510. We have secured the discounted rate of $99.00 (plus an 11.5% county tax) for either a single or a double room. There is an additional charge for a third person in the room of $15. Please mention your affiliation with IAATE/Oregon Zoo when making your reservation. The hotel will be holding a block of rooms for us until January 22. The special rate, as well as room availability, is only guaranteed from February 10-15, 2002. Reservations are held until midnight of your scheduled arrival day. Please notify the hotel immediately if your travel plans change.

TRANSPORTATION

If you are driving to Portland, check out http://maps.yahoo.com. If you are flying, book your flight into Portland International Airport (PDX). The airport is 15 minutes east of the hotel. A free shuttle is available through the hotel or you can also catch the MAX lightrail system which runs from the airport with a stop across the street from the hotel. You can also get to many Portland attractions via the light rail system.
