ICEBREAKER

Get ready to be welcomed into the “Wild, Wild West”. Experience the best of the west at this western themed opening event. The icebreaker will be held at the hotel.

ROUNDTABLES

Roundtable sessions give conference attendees opportunities to discuss specific topics of interest. We will be soliciting suggestions for roundtable topics.

WORKSHOPS

Reservations will be made on a first come first serve basis. Payment reserves your space.

Workshops are a great way to learn more about a specific topic or skill. This year we are offering four workshops: Cost: $10

  • Telemetry—Learn how to use telemetry, what technology is available, and practice your skills trying to locate that lost “bird” in the hotel! The experts from Marshall Radio Telemetry will lead this workshop.
  • Raptor Equipment—Learn how to work with leather and make equipment for raptors.
  • Interpretive Skills—Fine-tune your interpretive skills and learn techniques to help you develop new presentations.
  • Avian Anatomy—Spend an evening with the Oregon Zoo’s veterinarians. They will answer questions about avian anatomy and health. Radiographs, computed tomography images and dissected avian cadavers will be used to explain unique features of the avian anatomy. (Space is limited)
